Is it compulsory for Christians to do ministry work?

Every time I know a Christian and they graduate school, they always go on to do ministry/youth Christian work, so I was just wondering if this is compulsory. Stupid question I know but I'm curious and genuinely don't know 😊

Not required for Baptists, but it may be in other denominations. It's just looked highly on, almost equal to that of volunteering at a shelter.

Sharing your faith is important as a follower of Christ. I'm southern baptist. My church is very big on missions and sharing your beliefs with others so I can imagine going to a college with other believers you might be more inclined to go on a mission together :)

It's a required part of the Mormon faith I believe and may well be in other denominations.
