C/S mommas...was the 2nd one easier?

I had an emergency C/S with my 1st after two days of labor and the recovery was hard both physically and mentally. My son also ended up in the NICU and the whole memory is somewhat of a "birth trama" in my eyes. I'm having a scheduled C/S with #2 and I want to be more prepared on what to expect...and I'm hoping for a smoother situation all around this time. If you'd had an unplanned C/S (after a long labor) AND a scheduled C/S, I'd love to hear the difference in recovery physically and mentally. What it easier with the planned one? More difficult?
