Don't want to make son the III. Help!

My boyfriend wants to name our son James Michael and he would be the third. I personally want our son to have his own name and I hate the idea of a third. I just feel like you wait your whole life to name your child and it sucks to be told exactly what you're naming it without a compromise. I agreed to using James as the first name or even the middle but I absolutely hate Michael. Am I being unreasonable?
