Question for parents of girls?

Would you really be upset if you're daughter came to you at 15 or 16, and asked if she could get on birth control in case life puts her in that situation?

We were all teenagers at one point, and we all know those hormones are something else. But I see a lot of young girls afraid to ask their parents about birth control because they believe they'll be upset. I personally would be happy she's at least responsible enough to want to be safe.

If I have a daughter I plan on putting her on birth control once she starts high school. If I have a son I'll give him condoms around the same time. Even if they're not sexually active, better safe than sorry. I'm super open with talking about sex, so I'm sure my kids will find it easy to tell me if they're active.

This is tricky for me because I would definitely feel somewhat upset that my child is that young having sex. But I wouldn't get mad at her. I would ask her about it and try to talk to her, but overall I would be proud that she was responsible enough to ask me for birth control.

I would be happy for my daughter to come and ask not that I'm saying it's OK to have sex at that age but if it did happen at least she'd have some protection against getting pregnant

My mother put me on birth control when I was 14, she said it would regulate my period but now that I'm an adult I believe she did it for prevention and to avoid me feeling awkward asking. I will do the same with my daughter in about 7 years!

I wouldn't because I was in that situation and used it as a free pass. So nope! We've had the talk and she knows to wait. Just wait for as long as she can. I was a teen mom and she doesn't want that to happen to her.

No id be happy she even felt comfortable enough to come to me. It would open the floor for an honest conversation. She is my baby but her life is her life. Her body is hers. Id listen and respect her thoughts and feelings and I'd guide her and we would go from there. If rather have an opportunity to teach her safe sex, than have her hide it from me.

I will do my best to be there for her and take her to get on the pill and hope to keep an open line of communication at all times. Shaming teens for sex isn't going to do any good or make them not have sex.

My mom put me on birth control when I was about 18 because of my painful and heavy periods at the time not really for sex and I haven't had sex until I was 21 and that was like two years ago lol
