Umbilical cord healing 😖

Im a ftm, & this umbilical cord healing to fall off is so stressful & freaking both me & my SO out, we keep thinking its infected or something but whatever we look up says its fine, we even called 8-1-1 last night to make sure no doc visit was needed. Our little one is 8 days old & i wish it would just fall off already ! :( ugh it looks like it would be painful 😖😖😖😖
