Am I failing as a new mom because my October' 2015 baby hasn't hit all her 4 month milestones?!

I have been placing my Little One on her tummy for tummy time and she has gotten stronger but she doesn't respond to her name, or turn to look at us like most milestones say. She doesn't do baby push ups either. Im a Stay at home mom so majority of the time I am playing with her but to get ready cook or clean I place her laying down on a rocker. I just feel like maybe I need to constantly be entertaining and be a teacher for basically the 12 hours she's awake, all day and then I will see these milestones being achieved. Or am I ok?

You are not a failure. All babies are different. My first met or exceeded all her milestones. She was walking by 9 months, she crawled early, etc. My October baby has no interest in rolling over. She coos constantly, she engages during play, pushes herself up and does all sorts of things but she won't roll all the way over. My pediatrician said not to worry. Easier said than done, I know.

I was feeling this too. And then all the sudden one day my baby did some milestone things right out of the blue. It's like he knew how but was saving it up. So while it seem like nothing is happening, your LO will progress one day and you'll wonder why you ever worried! 
Too much pressure is put on us to reach milestones. Love your baby, keep the pediatrician in the loop and enjoy the time you get with your baby!

You most definitely are not failing. I hate these milestones charts as every baby is different and learns at their own pace.

I just mentioned this to the pediatrician and she said I shouldn't compare my baby to anyone else's. She said they are all different. It made me feel a little better about the fact that my 4 month old doesn't roll over yet.

His name until 5.5 months and at 6 months doesn't do push ups yet

If it makes you feel any better mine doesn't respond to his name but looks for us when we say little man 😂😂 we've been working on referring to him by name now lol

My son doesn't really push up and hasn't rolled over either. He's 4 1/2 months old.

You are never failing don't think like that babies do thinks at different times its a guild line that's all all baby's are different your little one might start off slowly but than the next day right into it , on other things your little one may pick up right away keep going your doing great xx
