Baby Shower Rant

So I decided to plan my own baby shower (control freak 👋🏻) and I sent out invitations and made a Facebook page 3 months in advance. I thought it would be good so people would remember to book it off and plan ahead. I invited about 24 people, kept updating them on the page, posted pictures, made a food list etc. Well, not 5 days before my shower (after I bought enough food to feed 30 people!) everyone started cancelling on me. The reason: they forgot to book it off work. I now have 7 people attending, with 3 leaving early. At this point, I'm upset. Then tonight, while setting up, my best friend came over to help. That involved blowing up two balloons, baking cupcakes and eating food. I literally decorated my ENTIRE home, made all the food except cupcakes, cleaned and dealt with her Goddaughter all night. Not to mention, I had to control my cat and try and keep her from attacking the toddler and decorations. My SO is off on contract, or else he would have helped. I'm just so frustrated and exhausted, and I feel like it's all for nothing....
