Working with Thor?? Norse followers!

Question

I know there are a couple women here who worship Thor - or the Norse gods in general. I'm choosing my pantheon and I've considered him. I have some German in my lineage, and while I don't feel a connection to most of the Norse gods, I have found a connection with Thor.

Who I choose in my pantheon will be the deities I serve directly and will be working with them for the rest of my life. So this is a big decision. My concerns are with the ways of the Norse people - they were rather harsh. They essentially believed the strong were better than the weak and they were warriors.

Even though one of Thors attributes is that he's a protector, I have some concerns working with him because I'm not strong physically and I can't hurt something unless my life is threatened (I even feel bad for killing ants that find their way in to my house - seriously, I lalmost cry every time!) I'm not against getting physically stronger and I adore sword play - but spiritually, I'm a kindhearted soul.

So I'd like to know your experience working with Thor. Is he difficult to work with if you aren't up to par with the Norse way of thinking? Or if you express weakness? Has he helped you in any way? I know this all probably sounds silly but I just need some insight :/

Þor was my first god I worked with. I had a dream in which he came to me and told me I had to bring the memories of the gods back to Midgard. I am currently working on Jörð, the fertile mother of Þor. 
The problem I had working under Þor is his passion. He's passionately angry, passionately happy. He's such a violently passionate god I always get really troubled when I work too hard on him... 
Jörð is much calmer and more nature oriented. It is so hard to find information on her. :( but you can put yourself in a trance and it's easier to figure out.

Seriously, you don't have to choose a certain pantheon or follow the ways of those people nor do you have to stick to the same ones forever, use the ones that can help you most when you need them most. I'm am Eclectic Pagan Witch. I'm mostly Celtic, with a Norse side n a dash of Roman, Greek, Shaman n Druid in the mix lol I have Freya tattooed on one arm with plans to have Odin above n going to have Cerridwen n Beli Mawr on the other.
Our angel baby was Loki Silvanus n our rainbow baby is either Minerva Aurora or Thor Cernunnos. 
Thor is good to work with when you need that extra physical strength but don't feel you have it in you, look to him to lend you some. Also good for protection spells.

I know this thread is old, but I'm commenting anyway! 😄 
[Tldr; Thor isn't just about swinging the hammer and crushing giants, he's about friendship and work ethic.] Thor, like the rest of the Gods, has many names and kennings. He's well known as the "guardian of Midgard," as previously mentioned, but he's also the "god of the working man (or woman)," and the "friend of mankind." It's not so much about physical strength, the real key is work ethic. Do you do what you do with dedication and determination? Thor approves! Whether you're a logger or a nurse or a janitor or a stay at home mom, all work is valued. One of my favorite stanzas in the Havamal (#71) contains this line: "may the halt ride a horse, and the handless be herdsman..." and a couple other lines that basically point out that people with physical disabilities are still valuable to the community. So even if you're not a big burly person, you can still work with Thor. My dear old mum is a Thorswoman, which is not what most people would expect upon meeting a lady in her 60s! While he can be very intense, I've found him to be a very friendly and jolly god in general. At the end of the day, Thor is our friend, and our success pleases him.
