Omega 3 during pregnancy without Dr knowledge. Is that ok?

I'm taking Omega 3 pill twice a day since I learned I'm pregnant, I did not told my dr about it. Together with Prenatal Rainbow Light and Folic Acid 4mg a day, that last one with prescription. I'm 36y, pregnant with baby #3

You should be 100% honest with your doctor, they are not there to judge, but they do need all the info

I took one a day while I was pregnant but I'm pretty sure you'd be fine taking two. Omega 3's are important! :) Mention it to your OB if you can just to be safe.

Omega has the dha you need and it's fine to take as long as your prenatals don't have dha..some don't..If your prenatals do then no need to take it. You don't need to take too mucn

U should be taking dha and most come with epa. Many prenatals now come with it all in one

They are important during pregnancy and really safe (as long as they are good quality and mercury tested).
