When to plan a sip and see

Question

So we're having a sip and see instead of a baby shower,...  Not one for all the attention.  When would you guys plan one after the baby is born? Not one to take the baby out early but I'm thinking 1-2months or so ?  It will just be some people from my husbands office and a few friends.    Our family lives far away

I would do 2 months after he/she has had shots so that you don't have to worry about a bunch of people wanting to play with baby....

I'd say two months. That way you are clear of growth spurts and you'll have more of a routine down. That first month is brutal! Every diaper is a poopy diaper and you have to feed them every  1 1/2-2 hours if you BF. You are just sooooo tired! Weeks 5-7 can be rough with fussiness if a growth spurt hits. My baby is 9 weeks and he is cooing and interacting a lot! He eats every 3-5 hours now, so that'd give plenty of time for company without nursing breaks.
