My son is five days old and we are finally getting the hang of breast feeding. Is it possible that my breast milk does not have the proper nutrition? He will suck for 30 - 40 mins until he falls asleep but then wake up after within 5 minutes screaming and rooting. I tried giving him formula just now right after breast feeding and he drank a whole ounce and fell to sleep and is so peaceful. My breast feel soft as though he is emptying them but he is acting to me like he is not getting enough nutrition. Is this possible? I just want to break down I feel like such a failure
