I don't have insurance and would really like to have birth control but I don't know how to ask my mom. I feel like she'll say no because we don't have insurance, how expensive is it? is there anyway to get it for a reasonable price?

When I was uninsured, my birth control pill cost $9 a month. I went to Planned Parenthood for the office visit to get the prescription. You can call your local clinic and ask for prices. They may do a siding scale based on your family's income. You should look into seeing if your family could qualify for some kind of Medicaid. Hope this helps!

I had the wrong insurance info on file at my pharmacy for a month and my birth control was $13 at full price. Its not very expensive at all and definitely affordable
