24yrs old 5 w pregnant never been to a gyno?!

Trust me, I don't need a speech about how bad that is but, my mom never made me go, she suggested it when I was 19 & moved in with my now husband but I didn't go. Now the older I get I am aware of how bad that could be, anyone else out there like me? I almost feel dumb I have never been to one before, I made my first appt today it's March 23rd I'll be 8w then & the secretary made me feel like an idiot for never going to a gyno before. 😞

I wouldn't say it's dumb but if you've been sexually active than you should have definitely been going to see a gynecologist. You never know what you could have, or what could be wrong just don't wanna wait to go and you find out something is wrong and you can't do nothing about it because you waited.

My first time going to a obgyn was when I was pregnant with my son who is now 5 and I hadn't been back since then until earlier this month. I've been married for 2 1/2 years and living with my husband for almost 4 but I've also haven't gone to the regular doctor since I was 17 and I'm now 23.

I'm 24 and been once 😣. I was checked at one of my appointments when I got pregnant when I was 19 (lost the baby) I always meant to make another appointment to get a pap smear later but never happened. Even booked just after I turned 23 at the universities clinic just before i graduated cuz I was comfortable there... But then my period ended up overlapping with the appointment and they suggested booking the appointment at a time that didn't overlap so I cancelled and never rescheduled because of finals... After graduation I moved out to an itsy bitsy town and I don't trust their clinic here... So yeah... I know it is horrible... But I figure I'll be getting checked soon either because I am pregnant or because I am having trouble getting pregnant and so I'll go then. Might make it sooner if I have some extra time the next time we take a trip to the city...

This small town thing is horrible, I don't even buy ovulation or pregnancy tests in town because I worry about the gossip spreading. 😕
