Baby weight?

Question

My MIL is soo certain the baby will be "at least" a 9 lbs... I asked my dr what she'd guess and she said 8 lbs.

A little about me, I am 5"8 and my pre-pregnancy weight was about 210. I have gained between 30-34 lbs.

All baby, please tell me how much you think our newborn will weigh?

I.e, she had NEVER delivered a baby!

It's very hard to tell. My first I gained 75 lbs and he weighed 6 lbs 10 oz. My second I gained 26 and he weighed 8lbs 6 oz. So going by your weight dont always mean a big or small baby. Ultrasounds aren't right either. So at this point guessing babies weight is almost impossible.

My doctor thinks 7 1/2 - 8lbs..
He specifically said I will NEVER in my life deliver a 6lb baby 
I think they can tell by your cervix and uterus .

Drs can be off my a pound or two. There's really no way of knowing. The dr told my sister her baby was measuring at 8lbs 2 ounces. And when she gave birth the following week she gave birth to an exact 7 lb baby

What the dr says is usually just an educated guess. By measurements and such. 
My dr told me about 9lbs for our little guy. We get measured again this week because they are scared he will be too big. I'm interested to see how close she really is. 
If I remember correctly they guessed a pound more with my daughter.

My mil swore i was having a huge baby cuz her son was 8 1/2lbs. So far looks like he'll be around 7lbs like my others. Dr expects him to be kinda small cuz im small. Never know tho. Lil women have big babies all the time.They keep tellin me to eat more and get more calories. I already feel like im gonna explode. Lol

Hey my mil was saying we were having twins.  Yeah I got told a long time ago if I was to carry twins that it was likely I'd be bed rested early due to my size. lol. So glad that didn't happen. mils are funny.

My mom has said so many times that I'm going to have a big baby, 9+ lbs. All 5 of my siblings were between 8.5-10.5. At my recent ultrasound the doctor said my baby's measuring in the 28th percentile😂. Guess she has daddy's genes when it comes to birth weight. We'll find out in a few days... Hoping to prove my mom wrong.
