Paying Family

If your mother or MIL offered to quit her job to become a full-time nanny/housekeeper would you feel that payment was necessary? OFFER: take care of LO and dog, keep up with simple housework (wouldn't be making her scrub toilets, lol) and some meal prep. My husband and I are in disagreement. I just need some opinions. Thanks!
