IUI with possible Conversion to IVF

After TTC for 2 years, we have finally begun fertility treatments. The original plan was to go straight to IVF due to cost/success rates. However after being on meds for a week, my U/S did not show many large follicles. I was told that there are only 2 large ones and one is so large that they are afraid I will ovulate it out before ER day. They rescheduled me for my next U/S in the AM to see how I have progressed. They told me I may be better off doing IUI because Of my lack of eggs. They feel it wouldn't be worth the cost if they don't get enough. I know it is only my 1st month, but I am already frustrated with the process. How do you all get past all the disappointments?!
