Numbing gel?

I have to get the whooping cough shot on Tuesday and for some reason my anxiety about it is ridiculous, I don't even want to think about it. I already hate needles has it is and this appointment I'll be by myself so it'll be even worse. Can the doctor use numbing gel on the injection site to ease some pain?

I couldn't even feel the shot. It was 10 hours later...arm was sore as heck

They probably won't, the lady did mine so fast I didn't even have a chance to finish saying, "I'm kind of scare-" lol. You will be fine!

I really did not even feel the shot, I just looked away at a poster and 5 seconds later she said "okay you can go". I was like you already did it???

It's done with a super small needle. Try not to psych yourself up, it's a very easy shot.

I didn't feel any pain what so ever when I got mine done. Hardly felt it at all- I sure you'll be fine :)

Didn't feel anything when the shot was given but  my arm is still sore from it. It been 5 days.

If you are super anxious, you can get a numbing gel yourself over the counter. Its called EMLA cream, you just have to put it on 30minutes before hand. I've used it for my kids shots before :)

Your arm will also be sore for a few days, didn't feel the needle or any stinging

Take a deep breath in *stick* breathe out loud and slow...i have needle anxiety too i also like to do my shots standing up
