Am I infertile?!

You guys, I'm kind of freaked out! Maybe I'm overreacting, but I am not pregnant. I've never been pregnant. I've had a few scares but obviously all of them turned out to be nothing. The thing is, almost every woman I know has been pregnant before except me. I'm young, 24, so obviously I'm still in my baby making prime... But no matter how much unprotected sex I have I just do not get pregnant, even on accident. Is that weird?? I wasn't trying before so it wasn't such a big deal but now that I'm sitting back thinking about it I find it strange. My SO and I have been together for almost five years and I was on bc for two of those years but I've been off now for almost a year and still no babies. We just stopped pulling out about 3 or 4 months ago so I know I shouldn't necessarily be too worked up just yet but we've been having unprotected sex for almost the entirety of our relationship and... Nothing... Should i be concerned??

I am exactly the same honey, me and my parter are getting married next year and have been desperately ttc for a year now as we would both love to have our own little baby at our wedding. I'm 22 and he's 27..we've had no luck..we've had ovulation tests, all the vitamins etc and I'm really starting to panic and worry now! Most of our friends are either pregnant or have little ones..they seem to conceive really easy! We had made a GP app for the 9th of this month, hopefully we get some help/answers! I wondered the same thing because I had been off and on bc and my boyfriend (now husband) never pulled out. After our wedding I got off bc completely and we had unprotected sex here and there and I never got pregnant.  But the first cycle using opk's & charting, I got pregnant. It turned out to be a chemical pregnancy but I'm hoping to get a bfp this cycle!!!

There's nothing weird about not getting pregnant when your SO is pulling out. Sure, it CAN happen which is why it's not an effective form of bc, but it sure makes pregnancy a lot less likely. You'd have to be actively trying with timed sex for a full year to be considered infertile.

Talk to your doctor about these concerns.  I can tell you my story. I'm 31 now, will be 32 in May. I've been with my husband for almost 5 years now. We only used any protection for the first 6 months of our relationship and we made the decision to stop using protection. We were both okay with the idea of me getting pregnant, but it never happened. We weren't really trying, but not preventing. This went on for a while. Then in 2013 after we got married we decided to actually put in the effort and try, still nothing for 2 years. About two months before my birthday, which is May 20th, I decided to go to may doctor and get a full physical, women's exam, blood work on my hormone levels and everything. I found out that everything was perfectly fine, but my cervix was tilted. With that information we did some research and I found that if I lay on my belly instead of on my back after sex, that it could help the sperm get to where they need to be. That June I got my first bfp. I was so excited and buckled down hard on my eating and everything that could affect the baby. Sadly though I lost it that August. Now we're trying again and I'm confident that in the next few months it will happen again.

But I guess what I'm saying is that it could be something simple like a tilted cervix or a hormone being slightly off. I wish the best for you in this journey.  Good luck!

If talk to your doctor. Certain BCs can cause infertility especially depo or any form of injection for BC. My doctor just notified me of this since its best to get on BC after you give birth. Many BC are being sued for infertility. I earned my best friend about it because she is on depo she can no longer have children from the BC

3-4 months isn't long at all to not have gotten pregnant. Give it time and chart your cycle if you want to actively try.

If you are worried best thing to do is talk to your doctor bout it it might be nothing but she might be able to put your mind to rest ☺️

I read once that if you don't get pregnant after a year of trying, to talk to someone. but give it a year first. getting pregnant is harder than people make it sound.
