STI/STD HELP!

Okay so my boyfriend had shoudler surgery and come to find out 2 weeks later, the doctor informed him that the utensils used in him were not sterile. There is a one and a million chance he has HIV. But on the other hand i have slept with 7 guys before him. I am getting tested for and STI/STD. I am afraid I have one, and if I do have one how would I tell him.
