Well, we had an ultrasound yesterday that caused some concern. My doctor sent me to see a high risk doctor where they did another ultrasound. There is fluid from the top of the head down the spine. Which can be an early sign of a chromosomal disorder (down syndrome, trisomy 13 or trisomy 18) or a possible heart defect. I am going to get blood drawn and a test will be done to determine if it is a chromosomal disorder. Regardless of the results my husband and I will love our child. It will just take more preparation if there is a possible disorder. There is still a possibility that the situation could even fix itself within the next few weeks.

The upside to this is that the test will also be able to determine the gender of our little peanut. So we will know in a little over a week if we are having a boy or a girl.

I'm trying to look at the bright side of this situation.

The scary part is that no matter what, the extra fluid puts me at a higher risk of miscarriage.

But I have given it all over to my Savior and I know His perfect will will be done.
