Stripping Membranes?

Do you guys think if I asked my doctor to strip my membranes if she maybe would? I'll be 39 weeks and 4 days when I go to my appointment. Also does anyone have any experiences with getting their membranes stripped? Thank you guys:)

The thing is, if your body isn't ready to go into labor, it won't do any good. (Plus it's not fun at all) I had pre-eclampsia symptoms with my first and had it done twice during 38th week to try to avoid induction, didn't work either time. Did it at 41 weeks with my second and I went into labor that day. If there's not medical reason to, a doctor shouldn't do it.

I wouldn't. Wait until your baby is ready.

I went all the way to 42 weeks before my baby is born. There's a reason you go into labor naturally.

I think you are very eligible for it. Every doctor is different. I've heard some who will not do it. My midwife offered to do it to kick start thing with my first baby. I had it done twice as the first time she did it I still hasn't gone into labor by the second time I saw her
