I love my ergo. You can buy a newborn insert and it's so comfortable. If you plan to baby wear them I definitely suggest investing in a good one. I had a cheapie from target and it killed my back. The ergo feels so much better. Car seats- we love Graco. We had the click connect infant carrier and the upgraded to a Graco my size 70

For a car seat we have the baby trend travel system..Three wheel ones..and for a carrier to wear baby..I have a very basic evenflo one..That I love..takes a min to set to someone and baby loves to be on my chest and I can be hands free..Sometimes basic and simple is better than expensive and more complicated!!

Car Seats for Littles is a great Facebook group resource to get info on different ones. I got the Chicco Keyfit 30 from Target. I'm using a Diono Radian later on when the baby outgrows the infant carrier.

If you're looking for a self-carrier, Baby Bjorn is wonderful for the first 6 months. Ergo Baby is great for about 1 year. We had both, and kept each one specifically adjusted to mine or my husband's body for quick loading when our first baby was fussy. You can get them new at just about any big box baby store, or used at many second hand stores, ebay, etc. I'd recommend second hand unless you plan to have a few children that will use them (since they aren't used much after the baby can walk).

I was pleased with graco at walmart. Make sure you get one with a base. They are heaven sent.
