Measuring big?

Question

Went to our appointment today. We're 34+4 but we're measuring 37. My fiancé is currently working 6 hours away and so I talked to my doctor about inducing at 39 weeks. I'm so scared I'll go into labor early and he'll miss it.

Anyone else go through this?

Did you confirm through ultrasound? Or is your doc going by measurement? I'm measuring 2.5 weeks ahead and scheduled for an ultra sound to see babies size and weight this week before changing due date.

Was this fundal height? Mine bounces around. At 31 I measured 34, at 33 I measured 33.5 and at 35 I measure 37, just had an ultrasound today and she's measuring a week behind like she has been at all of our ultrasounds. And my fluid level is normal also. It could be a lot of things that cause that.

If you have a date you are inducing it's actually better if you are worried about him missing because he will know the date and can schedule to be home

I just had my 34 week appointment today and I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead again.  I've gained 5 lbs in two weeks for the second time in a row.  She she'd if I've been eating more carbs and I have but only because it's what I'm craving.  She said that if I measure ahead again in 2 weeks they'll be doing a growth ultrasound.  My husband and I both were normal Size when born so I'm just going to lay off the carbs from here on out.

Yesterday at my appointment the doctor said I'm measuring about a week ahead putting me at 35 weeks. So she scheduled another growth ultrasound to see how big he is. I measured big 4 weeks ago and had a growth ultrasound and she said he was weighing almost 4.5lbs and in the 93%. I have a history of big babies, 1st one weighed 8.2 and youngest 9.11 so I'm not really worried

My first son measured 2 weeks ahead the whole time and he didnt come early. He was born 2 days before my due date. And my son now is also measuring 2 weeks ahead, but that doesn't always mean they come early, could just be a big baby!

You guys are lucky. I'm 3 weeks big, 35 weeks measuring 38, and she hasn't mentioned having me go early at all. I'm SO ready to be done.

Yep, 35w measuring 39 est. 8lbs or so. I do weekly BIOS and growth scans, I have GD. Doc will induce by 39 weeks but thinks she will come on her own within 3w or less

Yes! I'm being induced at 39 weeks but next week at 37 weeks they will be checking baby's size again to see if she needs to come earlier. My husband will be taking 3 3-day business trips out of state from now until my induction date and I'm afraid he's going to miss it and that I'll have to drive myself to the hospital.
