My vag tastes like onions πŸ˜³πŸ˜žπŸ˜‘

I'm a very clean person... I shower daily and sometimes twice. I wash my vagina with vagisil pH balance. It really doesn't smell... and it doesn't smell like onions but it tastes that way... It's a little embarrassing... My husband enjoys going down but not so much on the "flavor" and then we kiss I can taste it too. It's really embarrassing and was wondering if anyone else has this problem? Or have had it and found a solution to the problem?
I don't really have a diet that consists of onions everyday... Sure on occasion I might eat something with onions but not that often.
Signed,
Embarrassed just want a "normal" flavored vagina lol (yes I realize everyone tastes different but onions isn't a flavor I want πŸ˜–)
***UPDATE****
I don't douche never done that. My husbands breath isn't the problem... It's just when he goes down it's like that. Thank you all for your feed back... I will definitely try some of this out... The only one I'm a little unsure about is the water only washing... I know the vagina is self cleaning... That's the inside I never wash inside my vagina just the outside... Which is technically called the vulva the vagina is actually the canal itself. I know not to use regular soap on it but vagisil is a mild soap... I feel if I only used water it'd be smelly then... As I've said I don't smell bad just the taste... I know that's weird but it's just the way it is. So I will be trying some of your suggestions... thanks!!

That vagicil might be messing you up...you shouldn't mess with your body natural cleaning...

Just warm, clean water downstairs. It's a self cleaning oven. Pineapple makes it taste good too. No douching. I wish I could pass that message to every female. Your vagina has it's own flora and you don't want to mess with that.

ANYTHING ( unless specifically treating a Yeast/Thrush infection) beyond Plain Water is potentially harmful. Deodorants and other things only make things go wrong.

(Ones that go in/on/around your vagina anyway)

No they aren't- any "chemical" based cleaner/spray is not good for you.

Vaginal washes aren't very good for that area which could be the issue...

Try a probiotic, it can balance out your vaginal ph  levels. It also would not hurtTo mention it to your gyno. Hormonal imbalances can change the smell ofYour vaginia as well.

You may be washing your vagina too much. It knows how to clean itself

Remember, humans like other animals have been around for Eons... No animal REQUIRES soap or other chemicals to be clean, ESPECIALLY with regards to their Reproductive organs. If they did, they would simply die and the species would go extinct. Simple Water is more than enough.

washing twice a day is too much. not only will it not be good for your vagina but your skin and hair will suffer if you was too much. when you wash your wash away all of your body's natural oils and this can cause alot of skin problems due to the drying of the skin. I can understand if you are doing something that really makes you sweaty having to wash often but really if you aren't every second or third day should be fine. also I wouldn't wash hair more than twice a week.

More fruits, I love pineapple and when my husband goes down he says it's sweet.

Maybe incorporate more lemons into your diet.Onions are acidic and lemons are a base which neutralizes the smell and flavor. It's worth a try.

Could drinking apple cider vinegar do the same thing as lemons?

Yep! 100% it seems weird being acidic but she's right. Lemons and apple cider vinegar may be acidic, but do amazing things to the body by alkalizing it. ☺️

yes they are but once your body digests them, they are alkaline (aka base) same with apple cider vinegar. extremely acidic going in but it's great for alkalinity.

Nothing is wrong with your Vagisil Daily Wash. I don't think most people know what it is, a very mild "soap" better than regular body soap. And using just water, nasty. I'd try drinking more water and eating more fruits. Good luck.

I eat onions all the time, so much that my SO teases me and my vag doesn't taste like onions lol onions are actually very good for you and kill bacteria. It probably has more to do with your diet? Eat a lot of fruits/vegetables. Less process foods. Soaps can also throw off your ph levels. Maybe the vagsil is messing with your levels? Also doesn't hurt to make an appointment with your obgyn about your concerns could be something medical going on. Good luck to you Hun.
