I was wondering if anyone had a colposcopy and/ or biopsy during their pregnancy and how did it turn out? How far along were you? I am 11 weeks pregnant and had an abnormal read on my pap smear. At my last appointment my doctor said that the cell abnormality was relatively low (not at the precancerous stage, but I can't remember which stage). I consulted with another doctor who explained that the purpose of the colposcopy is to confirm that the cells in the cervix are the same as the pap results and not nearing the precancerous or cancer stage. Both doctors said that the miscarriage risk is relatively low but I've been reading horror stories online of women getting the biopsy and then miscarrying that night or very soon after. Also many medical sources I have seen state it is safest to wait until after pregnancy.  Any insight would be greatly helpful!
