Great First Trimester

I am now starting my 11th week of pregnancy with my first child. I was really nervous about getting pregnant because I had heard horror stories from people about how sick and miserable they feel and tired and that the first 3 months are terrible.
I must say for me... It wasn't bad. I was shocked because I have really bad acid reflux so I thought I would be puking multiple times a day. But I haven't gotten sick.. I only had one day where I felt yucky because o waited too long to eat and I had some indigestion but started taking zantac and it went away!
I did a lot of research when we were planning on getting pregnant on tips to avoid morning sicknes.
I don't know if it was what I did or if I just have good genes and was lucky.
I never felt tired I actually have more energy.
What I started doing when I found out I was pregnant...
-started going to bed at 8-8:30 every night (I work 7:30-6 monday-friday)
- wake up at 5am to give myself time to ease into my day. And eat a nice breakfast.
-stopped eating fried fatty foods
-fruits and vegetables and yogurt were my go tos
-kept snacks on me and snacked all day (crackers, granola bars etc.)
- I also read that bananas help prevent morning sickness so I stocked up on bananas.
- I also kept peppermints on me like tic tacs if I got a weird taste in my mouth or smelt something weird it would help cool it down.
I also read that eating a magnesium rich diet helps prevent sickness during pregnancy and you can buy magnesium lotion and your body will absorb the magnesium.
So I must say I am so excited I haven't gotten sick and that I feel good and my baby is healthy we had an ultra sound heard the heart beat it was nice and strong! I'm just hoping that the rest of my pregnancy is smooth sailing as well.
Any other mommy's feeling great? What worked for you?
