Negative Pregnacy test 5 days before period?

Took a test this morning and came out negative :( after ovulation tests told me I was ovulating and after dpo I was getting all the symptoms a lot of other women said they had (cramping, lower back pain, left side pelvic cramps, headaches, dizziness, peeing frequently, insomnia, creamy white peerless cm, etc) I was sure I was pregnant because I have never experienced these before, well was really hoping :/ I'm praying it was just a false negative! I'm going to take another the day before my period date! Anyone else had this problem before? Any false negatives 5 days before missed period?
