TTC: is it okay to eat salmon 3-4 times a week?

I agree with the post above about oily fish consumption, but I also think it depends on the source. If you're buying wild caught salmon from a store, keep to twice a week (NEVER eat farmed salmon).  I live in Alaska, however, and I think it's safe to eat fresh caught wild alaskan salmon about three times a week in the trying to conceive/pregnant stages. 
Not only that, the omega 3s consumed during pregnancy will make your baby smarter! I was just reading about how it aids the baby's brain development. So eat away, just don't overdo it!

Oily fish can contain low levels of pollutants that can build up in the body. For this reason, there are maximum recommendations for the number of portions we should be eating each week. These recommendations are different for different groups of people:The general population is advised to have no more than four portions of oily fish a week.Women who are planning a pregnancy or who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding should eat no more than two portions of oily fish a week. This is because pollutants found in oily fish may affect the future development of a baby in the womb.
