Do you do one side per feeding or some of both?

And if both, how long do you do each? In the hospital they had me do one side each feeding which usually works but sometimes he seems to still be hungry after pushing off so I do the other side but it may only be for five minutes! So that gets me all mixed up 😩

I typically do one side per feeding, but if your baby still seems hungry after nursing on one side for a long while switch to the other side, if it's just a short session on the second boob start the next feeding on it. Good luck! It's hard finding what works right. Just as long as it is working for the two of you just go for what feels right!

I do both, unless I offer the other side and she's too tired or just doesn't want it.. My routine is one side, burp, diaper change, offer (which she almost always takes) and then burp again..

I have twins so I breast feed them at the same time, so they each get a boob. And I alternate sides each feeding. If I had one baby, I would probably do half the feeding from one side and then switch to the other side? Or entire feeding from one side while pumping the other side?
