Has anyone else been told to wait two months before TTC again?

I just had a d&c last Thursday. My provider said I should wait at least one period, but two would be a lot better. Has anyone else been told this? That feels like forever away, but I did hemorrhage and my body has been through a lot of trauma recently, so I guess it makes sense.

Yes. I was told to wait 2 cycles after my d&c at 12 weeks. We kept trying but I guess it wasn't meant to be because there was still too much hcg left in my system for everything to work towards a new baby. Now, after 3 cycles I am finally down to 4hcg.  Maybe this is the month. Best of luck and hopefully the wait isn't long for everyone!

I was originally told to wait 2-3 cycles, and when I mentioned my husband was going out of the country for 6 mo in a couple months my doc didn't miss a beat and said "ok then, go ahead and try whenever you feel comfortable because everything looks fine". So it was clear to me that was the scripted answer and my individual case was fine to go ahead. I would maybe ask your doctor if there is anything worrisome if you were to try earlier. There may be a reason he/she told you that, or it may be the blanket answer everyone gets.

Yes I was told two normal cycles .. I'm in my 9th cycle ttc number 2. After my mc in June of last year. Told it will just help my body. Be more prepared for a healthier baby and odds would go down of another mc not sure if I believe that ,but I did wait two cycles well told too I tryed right away

I was told to wait about 2 cycles as well just to let my uterus and ovaries heal and rest. I hate to wait so long! Feels like forever, but I'd rather not risk anything.

I was told if you had a natural miscarriage you don't need to wait, if you had a D&C- wait 3 months to heal

The waiting feels like forever! I had a DNC in December and was told to wait 2 cycles, so we did. I tried to take my mind off it by doing things to keep me busy and make the days pass more quickly.
