Flu around baby

Idk if this is controversial or not, bit I'm curious, would it be irresponsible for me to take care of my baby whilst having the flu? I mean I'm not, I didn't feel like moving before I took the medicine, but do you think it's bad for a mom to take care of an infant when they get the flu? Cuz it's contagious and stuff? Like what if they don't have anyone to take care of the baby, and the baby gets the flu and dies, should she get in trouble since she gave the baby the flu??
