Coping with miscarriage
I hope you don't mind me posting this here, it seems to be friendliest place on glow. I was going to post in CC but didn't want to risk being told I deserved it - I'm sure I've seen comments like that.
Anyway, we've got 1 baby we conceived with the help of IVF. She's 1 this month. We tried naturally after she was born for 7+ months and then decided to go for another round of IVF. We had had the frozen embryo transfer on the 16th Feb and on the 1st March we found out I was pregnant but it wasn't viable. So I was told to stop taking my meds (progynova and progesterone) and let the miscarriage happen naturally. It did 2 days later. To say I was gutted would be an understatement. So today is 1 week post miscarriage and for the past 5+ days I've had this cramping / achy pain on my sides and lower abdo, which my gp thinks might be a uti, infection or retailed product - I'm dealing with this with tests and antibiotics. But I feel so lonely. My boyfriend is supportive and I've told a few people. One of the people I told, told me I should keep it to myself because the same day I miscarried, was the same day a friends mum died in a car accident. So because of this I haven't really bought it up as much as I feel need to talk about it. Now there's this pain and possible complications and I just feel like I've got no one to talk to. How do you cope?? Any tips would be helpful. We're seeing the fertility specialist in April with the hopes of doing another FET in early May, so I'm also worried these complications will push that back another 2 months - in our rural area we only have the fertility clinic locally every 2 months.
I'm only 31 so there's no massive rush to be pregnant as such, but with the endo, adeno and polycystic ovaries my cycles are really painful, and there's no good way to manage these symptoms that won't impact my fertility further, so I need to have any babies I'm going to have now so I can start managing the symptoms without concern for my fertility.
Thanks for listening. It's helpful to get this out.
