Why hasn't my dr told me what kind of twins I'm having

Is 16 weeks too early to tell me if I'm having mo/di or di/di. I have no clue if they share a placenta?

I found out at 10 weeks we are having di di twin babies.  We paid for a sonogram place at 16 weeks to find out we are having a boy and a girl 😊

Also... I just switched doctors as I wasn't comfortable with the lack of information my doctor was giving me. I felt like I was having to do all my own homework. He never even told me my due date and approved me to go to Mexico, I asked him about the Zika virus and he didn't even know what that was!!! So if you are feeling like your doctor isn't doing their job, switch now.. You want someone who is fully invested in you as twins are high risk

You should know by now. My doctor was able to tell me at 7 weeks that my twins are mo/di

Yes, I found out at that time. They checked for the amniotic sac line to see if they had their own sac, and we found out we had some sort of special thing they saw on ultrasound that showed they are sharing the same placenta....so we knew at about that time that we are having identical twin boys...good luck!! They need to find out bc you have to be checked via ultrasound more often if you have identicals.

By  7 or so weeks they can tell di/di vs mo/di via ultrasound. By now they'll be able to see if there is one or two placentas... 2 placentas is fraternal!  Only way to tell is ultrasound. You should be having an anatomy scan done in 4 weeks or so. Not to much longer of a wait :-)

You should've been told earlier....in my experience with doctors, asking really helps! I had to ask if they could tell what type of twins they were and any gender predictions during the ultrasound to get any info

We found out at 6 weeks that we were having mono/di. You need to find out ASAP because mono/di twins are much riskier and require more monitoring. If you're having mono/di you need to get an ultrasound every two weeks to monitor for TTTS and/or TAPS. I'd switch doctors. This one sounds like they don't know what they're doing.

I would say they r di/di bc with mono/di I go in every two weeks for a scan
