Getting laid off
So I got a call from my boss today saying that there is no work and want us all to take lay offs.
I was planning on taking maternity leave next month.
My question is can I take a lay off get paid EI and then take maternity leave?
My boss is being very understanding and will not lay me off if I can't but I won't be making any money due to no work.
I also live in BC Canada.
