Can cats see ghosts?

It's 3am I'm in bed with one of my cats and my other cat Nala is all the way in the kitchen talking to herself. I'm scared cuz she's really smart and cats only meow to communicate with humans. Is she talking to a ghost???

Ok, so my cat Marley will go sit in the bathroom sink every night around 1-2am & meow (or as I like to call it, singing the song of his people) loudly & continuously for a good hour. Why the bathroom, you ask? Because it echoes in there.😡 He's usually just being an a-hole because he wants attention.

It's said that animals and kids can see ghosts but who knows. I remember when I first got my cat, he would continuously stare at the ceiling and it would freak me Tf out. Then I realized there was a cobweb there lmao

It has long been thought that animals can see spirits. And you're right that indoor cats usually only meow to communicate to people, it's even been proven that they have specific sounds for specific things they want their people to do. That being said if she's in there talking and not running away it's obviously not something to be afraid of. If you are overly concerned an assertive "please leave" should resolve the issue or just go move the cat from the kitchen.

When I was home alone with our family dog, I hated it when he'd suddenly get up and rigidly stare at a dark corner of the house and bark and growl incessantly. Freaked me the heck out!!

I've had my black cat Precious, since I've been 16. She's an amazing cat, and I love her so much. But, this bitch will meow all hours of the day and night. Seriously, she meows at EVERYTHING. We had her fixed about a year after I got her, she had 2 liters of kittens (who all got amazing homes😄)

Animals are supposedly have some type of instincts (so they say) but I'm pretty sure your fur baby is just being a cat and doing car things. When my Katana was alive, she did countless weird stuff like jetting off for no reason and running back to her bed. Or make at my door (she was an indoor cat) every night at 10:00. I'm sure you are free from ghost tho

I believe that cats could see ghosts, but your cat meowing in the kitchen at 3 am to me means, "wake up and give me some damn wet food!"
