Has anyone gotten pregnant when they QUIT trying?

I was Ttc for several years when my only child was between the ages of 4-7 with no luck... I was using fertility trackers, ovulation tests and lots of other random methods.... During that time I was not with my daughters father.... Christmas of last year we rekindled an old romance and got back together and within 3 months I got pregnant... I was happy but also had other mixed emotions because our relationship still is not fully stable. We have enrolled in premarital counseling and he seems excited. I guess these pregnancy hormones arent helping lol. Our daughter will be nine on March 14th so in my eyes I was at the halfway mark and was okay with not starting over... Im excited but a little overwhelmed as well.

We tried for almost four years. Four rounds of clomid, and nothing!

We decided to go on a couple of trips, and invest some of our extra money into my little business. We stopped "trying" (we were actually trying to prevent (naturally) as I was supposed to go to Mexico) - and it happened! I was so shocked! (We were going to do IUI in the spring).

I absolutely hated when people told me to "just top trying" (it still makes me cringe), so even though it was true for me, I never say that to people who are having infertility problems. It's easier said than done!

We tried for exactly 1 year. I'm a very holistic person and didn't want to take clomid or any other meds before having my husband tested and have me looked at for PCOS. I made an appointment in November 2015 to talk with our doctor about infertility testing and treatment. My doctor is pretty popular so our actual appointment wasn't until mid December. The day of our appointment I was 3 days late which wasn't a huge deal since my periods can fluctuate a few days. They went over where my husband needed to go to give a sample and said they wanted to check my thyroid. He then asked when the first day of my last period was and I told him I was 3 days late. I was convinced there was no way I was pregnant! What are the odds that I would be pregnant this month?!?! Well he decided to do a urine test and sure enough it was positive! My husband and I sat in the room in total shock and disbelief. We got in the the car and just stared at the pregnancy test. We feel very blessed!! 17 weeks 2 days today and doing great! Maybe it was the fact we had "given up" that month knowing we would be meeting with the Doctor. Who knows. But I really believe things happen when they should and we just have to be patient! And patience is not something I have a lot of.

We had tried for about a year in a half with 3 miscarriages as the result, never making over 12 weeks. We gave up all hope. I had been,feeling like I had a uti, about august time, went to doctor , she told me I had a bladder infection. A week later I was laying in bed with my fiance and I was in so much pain he took me to the emergency room, they told me it could be a kidney issue, well tons of tests later they came in and told me I was about 4 weeks pregnant, I cried, I was so happy and so scared I had no idea what to think, well that and our doctor was a dick... Lol... Anyways! Now we are 31 weeks and some odd days and expecting a little girl named Bree. They always say that the best things in life come when least expecting it

Oh! Also, two days after finding out my regular doctor calls to tell me I'm pregnant.... Lol

Yes. We tried for nearly 2 years. Used apps, ovulation sticks, ate specific foods and supplements etc.. Finally gave up and scheduled an appointment with a gynecologist to get everything checked out and the ball rolling, so to speak. Had my appointment set on a Thursday,  found out I was pregnant the previous Sunday.  So just went to the appointment to verify the pregnancy. 😊 Got to actually see our little duckling and the heartbeat. I was actually already 8 weeks pregnant. Didn't even notice my period missing because I was so certain  that we couldn't get pregnant naturally. 😄

Yup we were trying for 8 months and nothing. We decided maybe there was something wrong with one of us and so we stopped trying. I got pregnant my next cycle!!

Tried for 2 years gave up and stopped having sex expect for like once a month and BAM! Pregnant right when I had given up all hope
