The Business of Being Born is an eye opening documentary on Netflix that talks all about hospital and home birthing. As well as the history of birthing and how it's changed over the past couple of decades.  It's truly an amazing movie!

Biased and could not have been more one sided. I appreciate there are women who want non-medicated birth experiences, but the degree to which that "documentary" vilified modern medicine and hospital births was just appalling. Not impressed.

Yes! I loved it! I live in Australia so our birthing system is alot better already but I still think every mum to be should watch it 😊

So I've been thinking about watching this, but I was wondering if it is a good idea. I am already planning on a homebirth and consider myself well-informed on the procedures I would definitely not want in labor and birth. My hesitation is because I don't want to be overly anxious in the unlikely chance of a hospital transfer, because I hate the environment in the first place.

Would you recommend still watching or do you think it would contribute to my fear of being transferred to a hospital?

Well, let's keep in mind that everything is biased, even things that seem to be unbiased. A pros and cons list will still select what it wants to include and exclude.

Just finished watching it and it is a very strong documentary and yet so true it gives me the chills to even think how things have change over the years I believe a woman's body was designed just right to give natural birth I myself experience a verry bad delivery with my second baby boy and  although he's perfectly healthy I wish some things could've been different but my doctor wasn't the best
