Would you give your 6 month old ice cream?

Question

Was at my brothers birthday dinner having cake and ice cream when my sister tried to give my almost 6 month old a small bite of ice cream. I told her absolutely not! We haven't even introduced solids only breastmilk and cereals. She thought I was being silly and it wouldn't harm him. I still refused. She was kinda mad which didn't bother me too much. Do any of you have pushy family members with food and the baby?

I gave my baby a fingertip of frozen yogurt last week. We're trying to introduce foods but he still has the suck reflex with his tongue. It's fun seeing his reactions to different flavors.

I wouldn't give him more than a fingertip, though.

I gave my baby a fingertip of my ice cream last time, nothing big but he kept staring at me. he's doing great with all these new foods, he got introduce to solids at 4months:)

My grandmother is super pushy when it comes to our baby,needless to say we don't spend much time with her. But our last visit she said we need to feed our baby mashed potatoes and ice cream. He's 5 months old!!!! She keeps saying she wants to watch baby for a day but I absolutely refuses because she doesn't know anything about taking care of a baby anymore and will overstep her boundaries!!

Not normal licks she has had was:
Mint icing
Ice cream
Pumpkin pie filling

Just starting yogurts now.

My LO trieds to eat anything and everything my family usually asks before giving him food unless its my mom or grandparents (they can do what they want.. They have been parents longer then me, but they still ask) im not picky if he likes it he does if not you will know lol but i started out with foods other them formula when he was 4 months old. She could have asked first before trying to give it to the baby since yall havent tried any food yet.
