So 5 days ago i had some heavy bleeding (10w1d) i had bloods and urine taken amd then had an ultrasound to make sure baby was still ok, heartbeat was 179bpm and baby was moving around. I went back to the doctors today and he told me that i have O negative blood type and should have had a "Anti D" injection within 72hours of my bleed. Hes now freaked me out because he said that my blood possibly could form antibodies which could attack my baby and could cause anaemia, brain injuries or even death before and or after birth, he also said that throughout my pregnancy ANY bleeding or pains need to be monitored and i will need an Anti D injection and i will need to get one done at 28weeks and 32weeks and possibly within a few hours of giving birth..... has anyone else had this please any advice or experience in this would help. Thank you
