Sudden spike blood sugar level at 38 weeks?

Hi ladies, should I worry about a sudden spike in my blood sugar level at 38 weeks and 3 days pregnant? So all of a sudden ( yesterday and today) my blood sugar have been high. I have been eating the same things that had my sugar level at a good number all this time since at 30 weeks pregnant? Please help! Can anyone relate and any advice on what to do?

I can relate! I was in the same boat, I was put on Glyburide about a week after being diagnosed at 28 weeks to help with fasting numbers and after breakfast numbers. For the longest time everything was stable and then it started to spike again around 34/35 weeks as if the medicine wasn't working. My doctor just assured me it's not anything I'm doing wrong, it's all due to hormones. For me the answer was to increase my medicine dosage and it evened back out, but with you being so close to the end I'm not sure what advice to give besides definitely speak to your doctor maybe they have some advice! And try not to get frustrated, pregnancy makes the body do weird things and you are doing great trying to protect your little one! Best of luck to you!
