Multiple showers?

I see lots of posts on here with people sharing "ready for the next shower!" Posts! This is my first and thought you just had one shower and invited everyone...is it normal to have multiples??

A lot of people will have one for each side of the family and then maybe a work one. I'll just have one bc my SOs family is all over the country so my mom will just have one with her family and my friends.

Me and my husband both have big families and we just had ours a couple days ago. Some of my family was there but it was mostly his. My mom wants to throw us another one in the summer time when all my family can be in town. The baby is already gonna be born then but I won't say no to another party and more gifts lol. I guess it just depends on the situation

I might have two, I've been with my company for ten years and they are basically family. I will have a work one and a family/friends one. It is too many people to do just one shower.

I'll have one for work and one for friends and family. My aunt wanted to throw a separate one for family but settled for doing one with my friends, which is much better! Both sides of our family live close and all my friends are close as well. The work one will be informal and after school so it's not a huge deal.
