Birth control while breastfeeding

I've been going back and forth about going on birth control. I am 1wk post partum and have lost 22lbs and have 5lbs to go til pre pregnancy weight. With my first I was breastfeeding, lost all my baby weight in 2wks, went on a mini pill and gained over 25lbs very quickly. I'm so afraid I will go back on and gain a ton of weight again and I don't want to do that again because I'm trying to get back in shape. And We don't plan on having another one for several years so I would like to do something other than condoms. Do any of you have a favorite or most hated birth control while breastfeeding? Have certain ones caused major weight gain or heavy bleeding?
