Membranes Stripped

Hi need some support/advice!! Second time mama here...first baby came 3 days early from expected due date all on his own....this time around our little man is being stubborn and my husband who is a firefighter is flying through his FMLA already....so my midwife is stripping my membranes tomorrow to get things started..I didn't have to have anything done before so I don't know what to expect this time around. So for those of you who have had this done, what can I expect??
