Highlights?

Yes, I know so pleaseeee do not say, "ask your doctor." Obviously, if I could ask her I would. But, are highlights safe at 27 weeks pregnant? I will be going to my hair stylist of 6 years.

I'm a hair stylist. The ONLY "danger" from color and bleach is the fumes. Even if it touches the scalp there just is nowhere near enough chemicals actually getting into your system to do anything. The only reason it isn't suggested to color or bleach until second trimester is because hormones affect how your hair reacts with the product. You could end up with an insane color, patchy color, stripes. Crazy things can happen. So they say wait it out. Also all salons are required to have proper ventilation that gets inspected yearly so fumes wouldn't be an issue unless you did it alone in your bathroom haha

Highlights don't actually touch your head they stay in the foil and as long as the room is properly ventilated you'll be fine 😘

I got mine done at 14 weeks without any issue. I'm due for a touch up. My OB suggested to wait until after 12 weeks, just in case.

Just make sure it's well-ventilated. :) If it's enough to make you nauseous or anything, you might consider waiting.
