Children at funerals
Okay so I'm a little torn on this. Do you think it's appropriate to bring young children (3 or less) to a funeral of a family member? I never got the chance to meet my mothers father, and we traveled to Florida this past weekend to attend the funeral. My cousin brought her two and three year old children to the wake (he was cremated after) And her kids were acting ridiculous. My mom hasn't seen her Father in over 30 years, and couldn't even focus because the kids were running and screaming (their mom didn't care she said she wasn't going to stop them) I mean if they would have grown up with him I could see taking them, but on the same hand I wouldn't want them To remember him that way, I'd want them to remember him for the good times. Is it polite or disrespectful to bring children that young to a funeral? Or what do you think are exceptions.
