Boyfriend acting like a dick.

So my boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex, with and without birth control. I just got off birth control and I told him I wanted him to start wearing condoms. He said to me "Why the sudden interest? It's been two years." Because he thinks it's okay that since I didn't want him to wear condoms when we first started dating, he thinks that's it's okay that we don't now. What do I do? I want him to start wearing condoms.
