Saline Infusion Sonogram

Tori
So a few months ago I had an HSG done and my uterus didn't fill completely with dye. My doc suggested I get a saline sonogram to see what was going on. IT HURT. Unlike when I got the HSG, I wasn't warned to take a pain reliever ahead of time or that it can make you nauseous. They use a speculum and insert a catheter like when you get an HSG. The procedure was shorter but more painful. I felt dizzy afterwards and so nauseous that I had to pull over on the way to work. After lunch I felt worse so I had ginger beer, which was a huge help. It's been almost 12 hours since the sonogram and it still hurts a bit to sit. Everyone's experiences vary but this was mine. I told my husband that after today I'm done with invasive fertility testing. My self-worth is not based on my ability to have children and I'm not willing to endure this amount of discomfort again.
