How Glow’s Offline Data Protection Works
This privacy feature stores your sensitive health data on your device, meaning no one else can access it—not even us.

Track your cycle and pregnancy in total privacy
Opting into Glow’s Offline Data Protection feature permanently deletes all “Key Health Data” from Glow’s servers (e.g., period data, health logs, doctor appointments, etc.).
Store your data locally on your device
Glow’s Offline Data Protection mode lets you store your health data locally on your phone or tablet while still giving you access to the core tracking features in our apps.

Glow’s Offline Data Protection FAQ
How do I enable Glow’s Offline Data Protection mode?
Navigate to the app’s More page (on iOS) or view the sidebar (on Android) and click Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the “Offline Data Protection” option. If you have any difficulty switching on this feature, send us an email at support@glowing.com.
How safe is Glow’s Offline Data Protection mode?
Glow’s Offline Protection mode is very safe. Enabling it allows you to store your health data locally on your phone. This means Glow does not retain any health information that could be linked back to you. You will still have a Glow account and be able to access the app’s features, but your sensitive reproductive and health information will remain completely private and cannot be accessed by Glow or anyone else.
Note that you can download your data before switching to the offline mode. Reach out to support@glowing.com for a CSV file (a spreadsheet) of your data.
Can I still track everything after I enable Offline Protection Mode?
Yes, you can still track your ovulation, period, and pregnancy progress in Glow’s Offline Data Protection mode. Note that if you enable this feature, you’ll only be able to access your health data in the app where you activated it, whether that’s Glow’s Eve Period Tracker, Nurture Pregnancy Tracker, or Ovulation Tracker app.
To protect your information, you also won’t be able to access the following features on our apps:
- Period, ovulation, and log reminders
- Home page content (daily health scoop, latest pregnancy news, community topics)
- Daily digest emails
- Data restoration
- Ability to connect with your partner
- PDF data export report
- GlowGPT
Can I switch between Offline Data Protection mode and regular mode?
Yes, you can switch between modes whenever you like. The app will sync the health data stored on your phone to our servers automatically the next time you disable the Offline Data Protection.
Can I still use the app across multiple devices if I enable Data Offline Protection?
For your privacy, if you enable this feature, your data won’t be backed up on our servers. That means you won’t be able to access your health info on any devices other than the one you used to enable Offline Data Protection.
What kind of customer support can I get after enabling Offline Data Protection?
You will still receive all the regular support that Glow provides with regards to account setup, app functionality, notifications, and general questions. However, because your key health data is no longer stored on our servers, you won’t be able to get assistance with restoring your account or exporting your previous data.
