Lh surge and cervical mucus

I need some help understanding this.

This is the second month my husband and I are TTC.

I took a opk last night and got a +opk. We were unable to BD last night. I took another opk this morning and only had a faint line. Another one at night had no faint line at all.

I have had cramping ever since last night and several moments of sharp pains-typical ovulation signs for me.

I know ovulation occurs about 24 hours after your LH surge...which with that + last night it should be soon, if not already happening. My question is: I havent had any sort of ewcm all day (which I usually get on day of ovulation). I have done internal cm checks and have only had tacky cm with a little water consistency. Is this normal? Am I just worrying too early, and the ewcm will come soon?

Also, with this tacky cm should I still BD tonight even though it's not very fertile mucus (at least from what I can see)?
