TMI: Hole in my tonsil!

I have a super sore throat and this hole appeared in my tonsil. It definitely wasn't there before and I'm pretty scared. Has this ever happened to you?!? I'm going to the doctor first thing in the morning. Both tonsils are swollen and red and I have white patches on my other one and a white streak on the back of my throat
